Teclast M50 Pro review: Lots of tablet for under US$200

In our tests, the M50 Pro cuts a good figure as a surfing and multimedia tablet. DRM Widevine L1 for HD streaming is supported, there is 235 GB of free storage space, a headphone jack is included and the dual SIM support means you can be entertained on the tablet on the go.

The tablet’s battery life isn’t outstanding, but it should be enough for a day’s entertainment. Even demanding games run smoothly on the Teclast, as long as you’re willing to dial down the details.

On its 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution IPS display, the M50 Pro displays content at 60 Hz and not too brightly. However, the brightness provided is sufficient for indoor use. The tablet is quickly overwhelmed outdoors and in sunny places. Software support also falls on the list of negatives, as it is unclear how long Teclast intends to provide the Android 13 tablet with updates. The tablet would also have benefited from a slightly higher recharging speed.
