MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023, M2 Pro)

We couldn’t praise Apple’s 14-inch wonder enough during our near-flawless review earlier this year.  Its incredible performance, port selection, audio, and vibrant display swooned us into handing over a 4.5-star review. Powered by Apple’s mighty M2 Pro there’s no end to the possibilities of what you can accomplish with this fantastic device and now is a great time to pick one up.

Prime Day has a number of fantastic MacBook sales happening right now and you can save $200 by picking up this particular model for just $1799. That’s a steal for a laptop with this amount of performance and incredible all-day power with a battery life of over 14 hours!

Apple MacBook Air M1

The MacBook that started it all. The Apple MacBook Air M1 gave the world our first taste of Apple’s silicon and everything it could do. And boy howdy, it did plenty, easily tearing through its Intel-powered competition, earning 4.5 stars and our illustrious Editor’s Choice award during our review. And while not as powerful as the newer M2 chips, the Air M1 still has plenty of fight left in it.

During Prime Day, you can save $250 on the MacBook Air with Apple M1 chip. And with 14 hours and 41 minutes during testing, the, Air M1 is an absolute steal. Besides Apple’s latest 8-core processor, it packs a 13.3-inch (2560 x 1600) IPS Retina display, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD.

Apple AirPods Max wireless headphones

They’re pricy, but the Apple AirPods Max continues to be one of my favorite pair of Apple headphones. They’re made of premium aluminum and fabric and with a solid array of color options, allows a bit of individuality. Outfitted with Apple’s proprietary H1 chip, you get the near-instant pairing with any iDevice or MacBook. And one of the main drivers in my headphone/earbud rotation, I definitely appreciate both the audio quality and the noise cancelling capabilities the AirPods Max bring to the equation.

And since the Max are the priciest headphones in Apple’s lineup, curious music lovers should take advantage of any discount. That’s why you should run not walk to take advantage of this $100 discount during Prime Day while supplies last.

As the clock strikes midnight (well for Eastern Time denizens) and Prime Day proper kicks off, let’s take a look at this striking Apple Watch Series 8 deal. While the competition has improved, none have unseated the Apple Watch as the ruler of the wearables and this deal makes the current Series 8 far more affordable at just $329 at Amazon, a $70 savings.

The Apple Watch Series 8 added a temperature sensor, crash detection and enhanced durability to the already compelling suite of features for Apple’s wearable. New users also get 3 months of Apple Fitness+ to test out Apple’s popular subscription workout service. We still wish it could have borrowed a little of that extra battery life from the Apple Watch Ultra, but at $329 we’ll take the day+ of battery life over spending an extra $450 on the Apple Watch Ultra.

I get it, you’re an Apple fan, we can way what we want about the Beats Fit Pro, but they aren’t AirPods. Well good news, the AirPods Pro 2 are also on sale for Prime Day dropping Apple’s typically $249 wireless buds down to just $199 at Amazon.

While you may lose out on the styling of the Beats Fit Pro, you do get a brand new H2 chip that improves noise cancellation, adds 3D sound, and extends the battery life over the original AirPods Pro. Add on top of this what I can only assume are mystical audio elves that create a unique profile based on the size and shape of your head and ears, and its easy to see why Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 have staked out a spot near the top of best wireless earbuds

It may not have an Apple logo, but the Beats Fit Pro are Apple through and through, right down to the same H1 chip found in the AirPods. Alex Bracetti, our headphone expert even called the Beats Fit Pro “Apple’s best wireless earbuds.”

From the more attractive design, interesting colorways, and vastly superior fit for workouts the Beats Fit Pro have a number of advantages over their AirPods Pro counterparts. Add in slightly longer battery life and equally great noise-cancelling and the Beats Fit Pro are an excellent option for any Apple fan, particularly when you can get them for $179 at Amazon.

Apple iPad 2021 review

Sometimes even the MacBook Air may feel a little too bulky when all you want to do is play a game, browse the web, or kick back and watch YouTube or Netflix. For those situations, the iPad is the perfect solution.

While the iPad Pro models are eye-wateringly expensive, the humble iPad Gen 9 during Prime Day is just $269 at Amazon and it will handle just about anything you can throw at it thanks to its A13 Bionic CPU and it also sips battery life slower than its successor the iPad 10 giving you over an extra hour on a charge. Unless you are trying to replace your laptop with an iPad (something we don’t recommend), then the iPad Gen 9 is likely to be plenty of tablet for you at a fraction of the cost of the Air or Pro models.

Apple’s 2023 15-inch MacBook Air doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it’s basically just a larger version of the 2022 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2, but it’s hard to pick a better laptop to pattern yourself after.

The base model MacBook Air 15 features a 15.3-inch (2880 x 1864) Liquid Retina display, M2 8-core CPU, 10-Core GPU, 16-core neural engine and 8GB of RAM. Rounding out its specs is a speedy 256GB SSD, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Force Touch trackpad.

In our MacBook Air 15 review, we gave it a solid rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars praising its ultra-slim chassis, beautiful Liquid Retina display and solid performance. The 15-inch MacBook Air’s battery life endured nearly 15 hours of continuous web surfing over WiFi at 150 nits of brightness. This puts in the category of laptops with the longest-lasting battery life

If you are in the market for a new MacBook this is easily one of the best deals around for Prime Day, saving $100 on the latest Apple laptop.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is a stunner in more ways than one with incredible performance that makes it a favorite for content creators and other power users, but what really sets it apart is its absolutely otherworldly battery life. In our Laptop Mag battery test, it lasted 18 hours and 56 minutes — that’s nearly 19 hours!

To give you some perspective on how incredible this is, the average premium laptop typically lasts just slightly over 10 hours on a single charge, so the 16-inch MacBook Pro nearly doubles that. For Prime Day it’s currently $200 off its original listing price of $2,500.

Apple MacBook Air M2

(Image credit: Laptop Mag/Sherri L. Smith)

The MacBook Air M2 dips below $1,000 in this Prime Day alternative deal through B&H, which is a fantastic value on Apple’s latest 13-inch MacBook Air. Our Editor-in-Chief, Sherri L. Smith, awarded the MacBook Air M2 with the Laptop Mag Editor’s Choice Award, alongside a 4.5/5 score. We believe that the laptop is “nearly perfect,” and although we felt that it was a bit pricey at its initial launch cost, this drop down to $979 makes it more than worth the entry price.

Pick up the Air M2 from B&H for just $979 and enjoy a powerful MacBook experience with over 14 hours of battery life for its lowest price ever.
